40 Yr old hitting HIT

40 Yr old hitting HIT

May I get some advise?
I am a 40 yr old male weighing in at a hefty 122 kg. Mostly fat.
Is HIT at this stage if I start exercising a bad idea? Should I wait till I've shifted some fat using conventional methods such as cardio for 45 mins a day?

I would suggest using Mike Mentzer's break in routine and staying with the first phase of it for the duration of your fat loss. My suggestion for that is track calories, walk daily, and get your macronutrients in order, possibly staying under 100g carbohydrates per day until you burn off the fat.
